Why Pewter
In an effort to create our identity, our brand. We searched for a way to set ourselves apart from the typical jewelry designers of today, to have NO-RIVALS!TM. We were faced with different challenges, a weak economy, rising metal costs and competition from those who claim to be American designers but use oversea factories to keep their prices low. We are an all American company and would never outsource our labor to oversea markets.
To achieve our goals we decided to keep our jewelry symbolic of the people wearing it. To reflect their persona's, a way for them to make a statement. Not materialistic. Not just a commodity. But a symbol of their soul.
We looked inwards towards our American roots, roots of hard work with integrity, high quality and high standards. And at a price that was affordable to all. While doing our research we were reminded of early American metal smiths. That is where we found our solution. We found Pewter!. Pewter in its lead free form.
What Is Pewter?
The answer is that pewter is a mixture of metals, the largest portion being pure tin. Small amounts of copper and antimony are required to harden and strengthen the alloy. The result is pewter, the fourth most valuable metal in general use after platinum, gold and silver.

Pewter has a beautiful color much like sterling silver and while working with it, it finishes nicely, is durable and keeps its luster without tarnishing. all of these properties with an incredibly affordable price.
